This compilation of level design semantics is part of my recent foray into the subject matter and serves only as a collection of guiding principles through the use of case studies from past projects that I have worked on. In this documentation, I have put together findings that I have found instrumental in the field of level design, and would like to shed light on some of the fundamental questions I ask myself each time I construct a level.
The methodologies highlighted in this portfolio are by no means exhaustive and were brought forth solely as key considerations which have proven effective in establishing a clear vision before attempting to curate an experience for the player. Hope this helps you as much as it has served me like a compass on my journey, breaking down even the most daunting of level design challenges into assailable tasks.
